Chiropractic adjustment for children and infants is very different from adjustments given to adults. The adjustment is very gentle. Dr. Kelsey uses light fingertip pressure on the child’s spine or neck or a gentle activator.
Because 65 percent of neurological development (brain and nervous system) occurs in your child’s first year, babies should be checked and adjusted as soon as possible after birth to help alleviate spinal problems caused by constraint or abnormal positioning in the uterus and spinal distress from the journey through the birth canal.
